3 Things That Will Ruin Your Wedding Photos
(and how to avoid them!)
You want your wedding day to be awesome. Here’s my top 3 tips I give my brides that will help ensure your wedding photos look their best.

1. Poor Lighting at the Venue
Problem: Dark venues, harsh overhead lights, or unexpected shadows can wreck the mood and clarity of your photos.
Solution: Talk to your photographer in advance about their lighting setup. Make sure he/she has the ability to handle any and all lighting scenarios!
2. An Unorganized Timeline
Problem: Running late or squeezing everything into a tight schedule leads to rushed portraits and missed photo ops.
Solution: Work with your photographer to build a timeline that allows buffer time. Designate a point person (not you!) to help keep things on track and gather family for group shots.
3. Distracting Backgrounds
Problem: Trash cans, exit signs, cluttered hotel rooms — these can sneak into your photos and kill the magic.
Solution: Tidy getting-ready spaces beforehand, scout ceremony and portrait locations in advance, and trust your photographer to help frame things beautifully or guide you elsewhere if needed.
